Sunfur heard a sudden yowl coming from a far way behind her. "What the-?" she murmured before turning around and racing towards the direction of where the yowl sounded from. She forced herself to run faster as she made her way to the Shining Stones. When she arrived, Sunfur stopped dead in shock. Before her, Shadefur's body lay on the ground, not moving.

"G-go get help!" Nightflower yelled again, she stared down at Shadefur's motionless body unable to move. The black she-cat closed her eyes, was this really happening?

Sunfur stood rooted to the ground for a moment before nodding. She turned and raced back towards camp, pushing herself to run as fast as she could. Shadefur's life was at stake! Sunfur never liked the she-cat's grumpiness, but she cared for all of her clanmates equally.

Ravenfeather rushed out of camp, Moonstar and Sunfur in front of her. "You said they were at Shining Stones?" she asked as they raced across the territory. The she-cat's eyes were filled with worry for her mother, even though Shadefur could be a grumpy fur-ball, she was still Ravenfeathers mother.

Sunfur nodded as she raced alongsire Ravenfeather. "Yes." she huffed as they ran. She was worried for the senior Warrior, and it was worse for Ravenfeather and Nightflower because she was their Mother.

Ravenfeather reached Shining Rocks, she rushed over to where Nightflower and Echopaw were standing besides Shadefur. "S-shadefur?" Ravenfeather whimpered as she approched her fallen mother.

Shadefur barely felt her heart beat as slow as she could think. Though for some reason, flashbacks of her kits sprang through her mind. Ravenkit and Nightkit.. the day they opened their eyes... their Apprentice ceremony.. Shadefur felt ashamed at how she had treated her own daughters. Even if she never planned them, at the bottom of her heart, she loved them.

Nightflower starred down at her mother, mourning in her eyes. Somehow, she could feel the regret flowing from her mother. She did care Nightflower tore her gaze from her mother. She couldn't look at her like this, not laying there as helpless as a kit.

Sunfur could only watch in worry as Shadefur's sides rose and fell slowly. She hoped Mudpaw or Cornleaf would come soon. She sat next to Nightflower and touched her tail-tip to her shoulder in hopes of comforting the Deputy. Sunfur remembered the day Haweyes died. She felt her heart twist in grief for her deceased mate.

Moonstar watched as Shadefur slipped away. Her eyes never left the dark she cat as she spoke. "Shadefur, can you hear me?" She asked.
