Duskpaw stared up at Silkpelt before nodding. Turning around in a circle he searched his surroundings for something called, "moss". "Um..where can I find moss?" he mewed quietly, blushing in embarrassment.

"You can collect the moss on the roots of trees and on their trunks." Silkpelt meowed, she padded over to the nearest tree. She pulled off a couple pieces of moss, careful to leave the dirt behind. No-one wanted to sleep on muddy moss. "You try," she encouraged Duskpaw.

Duskpaw nodded and spotted some green moss on a large Oak tree. Carefully, he pulled a bunch of it off and rolled it into a ball, glancing up at Silkpelt once more. "Did I do it wrong?" he fretted, staring down at the messy ball of moss in worry.

"As long as it doesn't have any dirt on it." Silkpelt meowed softly, this was only Duskpaws first try and he did pretty well. "You roll it up to make it easier to carry." she told him, looking down at his rolled up moss.

Duskpaw relaxed a bit, and continued to gather more and more moss. Soon he had 3 balls of moss at his paws, and was staring up at Silkpelt expectantly. His ears were perked attentively as he waited for Silkpelt's next job for him.

"Good," Silkpelt praised the apprentice. "Now we have to take it back to camp." she signaled Duskpaw to follow her with her tail. Silkpelt grabbed her moss, some grasped in her mouth. She had some suck between her chin and neck.

Duskpaw only nodded and grabbed the moss in his jaws, twitching his whiskers as the stringy moss tickled his nose. Shaking his head, he trailed after Silkpelt, glancing back to see if Wildpaw was following them as well. He had so many questions to ask, but with the moss in his mouth, he'd have to do that later.

Wildpaw had moss in his mouth, and some on his paw. Following Silkpelt, and Duskpaw, he smiled at the younger apprentice. "Vou're dood, vou thaf?" the tabby mumbled though the mouthful of moss he held in his jaws.

Duskpaw couldn't understand what Wildpaw said, but he continued anyway. He walked along large trees and bushes, inhaling a deep breath of fresh forest air. After what seemed like a lifetime, he made out a strange arrangement of brambles and bushes. "Awe we here yet?" his voice sounded from the moss.

"Yes, the camps just up ahead." Silkepelt meowed back, she could see the camps entrance a few fox-lengths away.
