"They're not weak. Just faster than your slumbering hide!" Owlscream monked Shadowclaw again before getting to her paws. She headed back to camp, glancing over her shoulder at Shadowclaw. "And Shadowclaw, do try do to lose youer temper. Venomsnake wouldn't like that, now would he?" as the fawn-covered she-cat stalked away, dark thoughts appeared in her mind.

Shadowclaw snorted in sarcastice shock. "So now you're saying that other clans but TreeClan are not weak?" he repeated Owlscream's words as she stalked away. "She-cats.." he growled under his breathe. Sighing, he sat down where he was standing and stared up at the moon. Soon, StarClan will have no power over us anymore.

Specklepaw bounded out into the forest and scented the air. 'Smell anything yet? Because I sure can't. " she meowed, looking for any sign of living prey. Her ears moved in all directions, trying to hear something scurry about if she could.

Nettlepaw told himself to get serious in his mind and all of his senses instinctively became alert. He opened his jaws to breathe in the forest air and perked his ears to hear the birds calling and the leaves russling. His ear twitched at the sound of something scuffling on the forest floor. Nettlepaw crouched low to the ground and signaled for Specklepaw to go around the squirrel, who was a few fox-lengths infront of them. That way, he could chase it right into her claws.

Specklepaw ducked into the grass, her green eyes fixed on the squirrel. She unsheathed her claws and kneeded the ground, resting her weight on her back paws, ready to spring forward when Nettlepaw chased the squirrel to her.

As Mosspaw walked out of the camp after her mentor, she was feeling a bit guilty. A gut feeling, but nonetheless, it was there. She shouldn't had been so rude to Wildpaw... was she learning only how to be worst from her mentor?
No, she told herself. That's who I am. That's who I've always been. This is nothing new. Only the guilt is new.
Mosspaw had felt guilt before, but not really. Most of the times it had been small. Maybe she really was starting to doubt herself more than she used to. Mosspaw used to believe that everything she did was right and fine -- she had never thought bad about her actions -- but lately that had become a flickering doubt. Still, she wasn't about to change just because of some stupid nagging voice.

She unsheathed her claws and kneeded the ground, resting her weight on her back paws, ready to spring forward when Nettlepaw chased the squirrel to her. Nettlepaw yowled and pushed himself forwards, racing towards the squirrel with unseathed claws. The squirrel got frightened and ran right where Nettlepaw had planned, in the direction of Specklepaw. Shadowclaw grinned darkly as they reached the Training Hollow. He positioned himself at one end of the hollow, and signalled Mosspaw to go to the other end. "Alright. Come at me." he half-instructed, half-taunted.

Specklepaw sprang forward and caught its neck in her sharp teeth killing it with a clean blow. She tumbled over, the squirrel clenched firly in her jaws. " Mm camm mim (I caught it) " she mumbled through the fur.

Mosspaw stood at the other end of the hollow in silence for a moment, studying her mentor. She felt like it'd be best to get behind him and on his back, but that would be hard. Maybe to get under him... and charging head-first never worked out well anyway. Unfortunately, it seemed like charging head-first was pretty much what she had to do.
She didn't think he'd end up hurting her anyway, and maybe she'd learn something. She probably would learn something, actually, considering Mosspaw was the type of cat to take from behind and this was out of her comfort zone.
Twitching her whiskers, she pretty much ignored the taunt in his voice and dashed at him, planning to duck under him and -- hopefully -- headbutt or claw one of his legs so he lost his balance. That was only a hope, though -- it'd probably end up with her pinned to the ground. Shadowclaw was a pretty good fighter.

They could catch loads of prey if they kept this up! Shadowclaw raised a brow as Mosspaw ran at him, and simply side-stepped as she came a couple of mouse-lengths away from him. "Please, have I taught you anything?" he growled, urging his Apprentice to use more effort.
