Nettlepaw flattened his ears in surprise when her felt Specklepaw's head rest between his flank and the bottom of his chin. For a long time he was lost for words, his sand-colored face blushing a deep red, making him look like a Death Berry. "I... I... y-yeah.." he managed to choke out. He felt Specklepaw's smaller build next to him, trying to keep his tail-tip from quivering in joy.

Specklepaw smiled nervously and cuddled next to him. She was beet red at this poit and hoped he didn't notice the slight nervous shake in her body as she groomed the soft fur on his shoulder. "A-And that to?" she asked before continuing.
((THEY'RE SO ADORABLY AWKWARD!))

((Yeah, pretty awkward indeed. x3 ))
Nettlepaw purred quietly. "You don't have to ask.." he smiled, glancing down at Specklepaw. He gently groomed the top of her forehead in long, rythmic strides. He closed his eyes in relaxation and a deep purr rumbled from his throat.

((They remind me of SyaoSaku so flipping much!))
Specklepaw smiled slightly and purred, letting out a cute, high pitched "Mrow!" as he groomed her head "That feels nice..." she whispered shyly, looking to the side.

((Oh.. god how awkward.))
Nettlepaw purred and said nothing, continuing to groom Specklepaw's fur. His heart felt warm and fluttery as he sat beside Specklepaw.
Runningleap trotted through the forest, a few fox-lengths ahead of his patrol when he saw Nettlepaw and Specklepaw. He was going to greet them but then stopped short. The two Apprentices were sitting by each other, their pelt's brushing as they shared tongues. "What are you two doing?!" he hissed in shock. Runningleap knew that this wasn't just friendship.

Specklepaw jumped but instead of moving further away, snuggled closer into Nettlepaw's pelt, burying her muzzle in the war sandy fur of his chest. Her ears flattened and her face burned in embarassment. "I.... we... um...." she stuttered.

Nettlepaw's eyes flew open in shock as he heard Runningleap's hiss and instantly moved away from Specklepaw, as much as he didn't want to. "I.. we, er.." he stammered, lost for words. His ears were flattened in shame.
Runningleap glared at both Specklepaw and Nettlepaw. "You two are only Apprentices!" he hissed, perking an ear as he heard his patrol coming closer. "You're coming back to camp this instant." he growled, starting towards the direction of camp once more. He didn't know why he was getting so angry. Because you never got to be with Amberpelt. a voice in his mind reminded him, but he shook the thought away.

Wildpaw chased a squirrel though the trees, having to follow it after leaving Amberpelt for a while to catch. Just as he thought he would grip it in his claws, the orange prey-animal scooted straight up a tree. But the cream tabby was going too fast, and only found himself crashing into gray spotted tabby fur. "Runningleap?!"

Specklepaw lowered her head and followed Nettlepaw's mentor back to camp. Why were they getting in trouble... they were simply cuddling and sharing tongues.... Her face heated up again the minute she remembered that.
"Muh...mister Runningleap... why does it matter if we're apprentices?" she asked softly, but boldly, wanting to know why this was so bad.

Runningleap was about to shoot Specklepaw another glare when he felt a heavy weight crash into his side. "What the-?!" he hissed in surprise as he scrambled to his paws. "Watch where you're going!" he narrowed his eyes at Wildpaw.
Amberpelt raced after her Apprentice. "Wildpaw! Did you catch the-" she began but then cut short when she saw Wildpaw sprawled on the ground beside an angry Runningleap.
Runningleap's eyes widened. "Hello, A-Amberpelt.."he choked out.
