Spike was just about to cuff the kit around the ear, but then suddenly stopped himself. Glaring at Toxic, he turned his face away so the runt wasn't looking at him. "Go." he growled, using all his self-concious to restrain himself from torturing the kit more. Spike finally relaxed and turned his back towards Toxic. He stalked towards an opening in the wall, his tail drooping with dullness, and disappeared behind the old wall.

((Amber! I came back for you!)) Toxic looked up at Spike, shocked that the white tom didn't hurt in anyway. He was even more surpised when Spike left the room without clawing him over the ear. "Is Spike...loney? He like that because he's...alone?" Toxic wonder aloud, staring at the hole in the wall that Spike went though.

((How dare you be unactive for so long! But I always had faith in you! *places hand on heart dramatically*))
Dirt slipped through the shadows, staring as Spike left the room. He had been watching the whole time. Trotting towards Toxic, he rested his brown tail-tip on his shoulder. "You're probably right, Toxic. Spike has no family, or friends, or anything. He's rude and mean because he's afraid that if he isn't, other cats will notice his lonelyness." he explained. Spike's true personality isn't very easy to read, he covers it up pretty well.

((sorry, was out camping!)) Toxic looked up Dirt as the tom placed his tail on his shoulders. "But if Spike was nicer...do you think others will start being around him? So he won't be loney?"

Dirt sighed. "Well, he's worried that he'll look soft." he guessed, glancing down at the small kit. Spike was a fierce tom, Dirt couldn't imagine him changing his ways.

Toxic thought for moment about what Dirt said, then meowed, "If someone was to give Spike a chance, will he open up?" Toxic remembered when he was alone, the she-cat had given him a chance, and he'd opened up to her.

Dirt glanced up at the ceiling, his eyes thoughtful. "I don't know, Toxic. I don't know." Turning, he stalked past Toxic and into another room, disappearing through an opening in the wall.

Toxic sighed sadly, then walked though a hole in the wall. As he padded down a hallway, he thought about Spike being loney. Maybe...myabe I should give him a chance...then he'll open up...like me! Toxic thought in his head.

Spike stalked towards a large cardboard box, climbing into a pile of jackets and shirts which served as his bed. SIghing, he rested his chin on his paws and flattened his ears against his head. Why doesn't anyone like me..

Toxic held a tiny mouse in his jaws as he poked his head around the coner. Seeing Spike in his den, he swallowed deeply, and trotted over to the white tom. "...Spike? I...I brought some food." Toxic placed the mouse in front of Spike, just in reach where the tom could grab it. The kit took two steps back, then stood still, holding his breath.
