"Crowkit, and that's my sister Cherrykit." Crowkit squeaked, grinning at the two other cats. "I can introduce myself." Cherrykit complained quietly, but still smiled at the two cats. "We're going to become apprentices soon!" Cherrykit added, her face shown excitement.

Cream tilted her head in confusion. "Apprentices?" she repeated. This "clan" sure was difficult to understand. She had no idea how she and her Sister would be able to live in the type of environment. Hunting for your own food, sleeping in moss and sticks, cleaning ticks out of your fur. It wasn't at all like the life Cream and Lizzy had before in their home. Thinking of home reminded her of Saphire, and she looked down at her paws in sadness for a moment. Though she recovered her happy state quickly.

"Learned everything?" she mewed. Cream curled her tail around her paws. "What do Apprentices learn about?" she asked. These kits were about her and Lizzy's age, so maybe they'd become Apprentices soon, too!

"Well, you learn about hunting, and fighting." Crowpaw explained, then Cherrypaw butted in "Yeah, and you have to clean out the elders den!"
"F-fighting?" Lizzy echoed, she wasn't a very good fighter. She hoped she'd never have to fight, but it didn't look like it by Crowpaws explanation.

Cream flinched at the word, fighting. She was terrified when Shallowflight attacked her Sister. She had hoped that he was just angry, and clan cats never fought, but she guessed she was mistaken then.

Seeing the scared look on the two cats faces, Cherrykit meowed "But don't worry, usually the clans only fight as a last resort. Like if they get attacked by a fox or something." hoping that would cheer them up, Cherrykit said, "So are you two becoming apprentices too?"

Skunkkit looked at the two cats. "Why does fighting scare you so much?" He asked, one ear flat and the other to the sky in a confused look.
