Silkpelt opened her mouth to reply to the tom, but he padded off. You weren't wasting my time! If anything, it would help to confront her fears. He probably left because she was basicly starrring at him for awhile. She sighed and looked around, hopefully Duskpaw was up.

((Right on time, actually. )) Duskpaw yawned and sat up in his nest, almost forgetting that he lived among the wild cats, or no, TreeClan now. Slowly, he padded out of the Apprentices den and glanced around, looking for a familiar creamy pelt.

"I'm over here!" Silkpelt called, seeing her apprentice stick his head out of the Apprentices Den. "If you're hungry go ahead and eat." she meowed, flicking her tail over to the freshkill pile. He probably wouldn't get another chance to eat until after Sunhigh, so it would be best if Duskpaw ate now.

Duskpaw flattened his ears against his head at Silkpelt's reply. "But isn't it against the warrior code to eat before feeding the kits and elders?" he mewed quietly, casting an anxious glance towards the fresh-kill pile. SIlkpelt had taught him most of the warrior code the other day and he was determined not to brake any of the laws.

"Thats when we're hunting." Silkpelt explained, seeing the apprentices confusion, "If it makes you feel better, I'm teaching you to hunt today." she meowed, hoping to cheer him up. She'd make sure they brought in a lot of prey. "But if you don't want to eat, that's fine."

Duskpaw nodded solemnly. He was determined to master the art of hunting, and bring back loads of prey for his new clan. "Okay! Can we go now?" he asked, looking up at his mentor with eager eyes. He would remember his Mother bringing back prey for him when he was little. Duskpaw's happy expression faltered for a moment but then recovered quickly. He needed to stop thinking about the past.

"Come on," Silkpelt called, she lead the apprentice out of camp and into the territory. Her mind flashed back to Runningleap, she wondered why he'd cared about Owlscream teasing her. The creamy she-cat narrowly avodied a tree that was sitting near the entrance of camp. "Sorry," she called back at Duskpaw. She decided to focus her mind on hunting, starting at the deepest part of the woods would be good, there would be plenty of prey to catch. ((Terri))

Duskpaw nodded eagerly and followed after Silkpelt, surpressing a giggle when she almost hit into a tree. Clearing his mind, he urged himself to focus on hunting as he followed her through the camp entrance.

Wildpaw padded over to the warrior den, and poked his cream head in. Spotting Amberpelt curled up in a ball in her nest, the cream tabby tom tiptoed over to her. "Amberpelt, Amberpelt wake up." he whisppered softly in her ear.

((Wha-?))
Amberpelt frowned slightly and groaned. She refused to open her eyes and curled up more tightly. Who was next to her? Right now she didn't give a hoot, until Wildpaw's scent drifted into her nostrils. Sighing, she slowly sat up in her nest and scowled at Wildpaw with drowsy eyes. "What do you want?" she grumbled. You wouldn't like to see Amberpelt when she's been disturbed from her sleep.
