Badgerkit began licking his paw before he asked Nettlepaw "Hey, how soon until Hawkstar makes me an apprentice?" he asked, cocking his head to the side.

Nettlepaw didn't need to think for this one. "Well, you're five moons now, so you'll become an Apprentice in about a moon." he explained to the brown and white kit. "Are you excited?" he grinned, amusement gleaming in his eyes.

Badgerkit nodded vigorously "I'm really looking forward to being the best warrior I can be!" he said, standing up with his chest puffed out.

Nettlepaw chuckled. "Good! But there is more to life than just being a great Warrior." he said surprisingly wisely. He must've learned that from Runningleap. He sighed. Was his Mentor still mad at him? Don't think that! It's been a moon since the fox attack..
((This reminds me, everyone please edit their character profiles and add a moon to your character's age please.
Not including the characters who were made after the gathering.))

Nettlepaw smiled. "Well, you have to be a great Warrior towards your clan." he explained further. "Care for all of your clanmates, even cats like.. Venomsnake or Owlscream." he surpressed a shudder when he said Venomsnake's name. "Offer to help anyone in need, even if they don't ask you to." he finished.
((Make him ask how to become a great Warrior, I have a wise phrase for Nettlepaw. :3 ))

Nettlepaw laughed kind-heartedly at Badgerkit's question. "There is no guide or secret to becoming a great Warrior." he mewed truthfully. "You just have to do what you think is right try to be the best you can be." he told the eager kit. "Follow your heart." I followed my heart when I went to help the fox patrol.. and now I have Venomsnake following my fear.

Nettlepaw smiled. "Sorry bud, I don't think so. I still have 3 more moons until I have my own Warrior ceremony." he mewed, a hint of sadness in his voice. He would've liked to mentor Badgerkit. The young cat was so enthusiastic and eager to learn all there is about clan life. Nettlepaw didn't mind that he wasn't clanborn.
