Eliza purred as she felt a her owner's hand stroke her back as she slumbered. Her owner's face was sad and distraught. He had a chilling feeling. He wouldn't be able to keep Eliza anymore soon. And he had no idea where she could go.

Gray awoke. His stomach growled because he had passed up dinner last night. He felt so... distraught. He should have been able to make Eliza cheer up. "Stupid Me!" he huffed. He took a few bites of cat food and ran out to the garden.

Eliza woke up easily. She had slept like a kit. Getting out of her bed, she rubbed against her sleeping owner's hand before jumping out the window. She had never felt so happy. Her fur still smelled a little of Tornshadow, but she didn't think anyone would notice, right?

"Maybe I should go find her.." Gray started to head towards Eliza's garden. Thoughts bubbled in his head. What could be wrong with her? Is she sick? Is her owner sick? Confusion swept over him he had no idea. He arrived at Rliza's garden. "Eliza?"

Eliza looked up with a smile. "Oh,g'morning Gray." she mewled. In her mind she said Don't notice Tornshadow's scent, don't notice his scent please as she curled her tail around her paws.

Eliza cocked her head. "I wasn't upset or anything." that wasn't a lie. "I was just a little jumpy that day." She could sense the awkward in the air. 'So I saw you talking to Duchess... Does someone hae a crush on the local diva?" she teased.

"Er... I mean... She's pretty and all but... you.. smell a little different," Gray took his time in saying the last bit. He really didn't want to offend her.
